The UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has arisen with 01 Post carrying 03 Vacancies as follows:

Vacancy: 03 Nos. (to be filled up with Reserved Community Candidates)
Post Classification: General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
Employment nature: Permanent.

Monthly Pay under UPSC Recruitment 2023:
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, those selected as Junior Research Officers shall be entitled to the Monthly Salary hereinunder:
Pay Level-07 (Rs.44900-142400) of Pay Matrix under 7th CPC
Age Limits for UPSC Recruitment 2023:
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Applicant, as on 15.06.2023, the Closing Date for ORA, should be aged as narrated hereunder:
1) The EWS Applicant should not exceed 30 Years.
2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, the Applicants should refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection” of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
Eligibility for the UPSC Recruitment 2023:
The Eligibility comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience essential as per the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Applicants are as follows:
Essential Criteria:
The Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:
A) Educational:
i) A Master’s Degree in Statistics/Operation Research/Mathematics/Applied Statistics/Applied Mathematics/ Mathematical Statistics from any Duly Recognised University/Institute; Or
ii) A Master’s Degree in Economics/Sociology/Psychology/Commerce with Statistics as one of the Subjects at the Graduation Level/Post Graduation Level from any Duly Recognized University/Institute.
Desirable Qualification(s):
i) Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) awarded by any University Or ‘A’ Level Diploma under the Department of Electronics accredited Computer Course.
ii) Having in possession 01-Year’s Post-Qualification Experience of Analysis of Statistical Data and their Interpretation in Central Government/State Government/University/Recognised Training Institute/Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory/Autonomous Organization/Recruitment Board, e.g., Banking and Railway Recruitment Board/Indian Institute of Technology/Indian Institute of Management/Central Board of Secondary Education/State Public Service Commission/State Board of Secondary/Technical Education/Staff Selection Commission (SSC)/Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)/ University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Note: The Qualifications and the Qualification in reference to Experience with regard to the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
Selection Process under UPSC Recruitment 2023:
Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event of Applications received relatively in large number from the Candidates, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:
As has been explained in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:
A) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interviews or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain subject to the Minimum Qualifying Marks for I) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS); II) Other Backward Community and III) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s).
B) In the cases where Selection for the notified Junior Research Officer (Research, Statistics & Analysis) Post is carried through by a Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will need to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
Application Fee for UPSC Recruitment 2023:
Category-wise Application Fee Remittance and Payment Gateway by the Applicants is as follows:
I) The EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
